Art from the Heart

About Me

I have always been interested in learning new things. At school, I was my craft teacher’s favorite student which still makes me happy. I learned to stitch while in college, did a course in Fashion Design, and participates in trade exhibitions where I sold many one-of-a-kind outfits.

Then I left India for Canada. I left everything behind, including my tailors and embroiderers. In Canada, I started working with copper wire because I discovered that copper is a huge healer, it is beneficial to wear it. I have had firsthand experience of it. I got rid of the pain in my hand by just wearing copper rings. Though the pain is gone, I still wear my rings. Wearing copper every day keeps the copper in good condition. I mean it doesn’t make skin green and the metal doesn’t go black.

I make stuff with copper, brass, beads, lace, and more. I have also learned pottery. The main rule of pottery is to find the center, I believe it is the same with meditation.

I sometimes feel days are too short and there is so much to learn and create. It is practically impossible to learn everything but I want to learn it all. My biggest inspiration comes from nature. It’s amazing how nature can be so creative with colors and designs! It inspires me to just as bold, delicate, and original in my work.

It makes my heart happy every time someone purchases one of my creations. To me, that’s confirmation that there is someone out there who likes what I like. Thank you for reconfirming my belief and encouraging me to go on making stuff.

Now you know me, and I’d love to get to know you. Please reach out to me if you have any thoughts or comments.

I love nature, gardens, flowers, beaches, long walks. I like to listen to good music and ancient stories. I love comedy and even science fiction.

I believe life is a beautiful experience and I am lucky to be part of it.
